📋 Material, Care & Safety Information ↗RAIVO COAT - THE COLD PROTECTION GAMECHANGER?
We say YES! Down has decisive advantages over synthetic fibers, for example in thermal performance and wearing comfort, which is why most "real" expedition coats are made of down. Unfortunately, most down coats do not handle moisture particularly well, one of the main reasons besides cost why synthetic insulation is predominantly used in the tactical sector.
If you now try to make "real" down uncompromisingly "weatherproof", while also effectively eliminating "cold bridges" and combining it with a truly groundbreaking 3-layer membrane, the result is a RAIVO COAT – which, by the way, in Finnish means "relentless determination against the cold, absolutely weatherproof, uncompromising!"
The RAIVO coat is light, flexible and agile – not a super monster for -30, but rather an all-rounder for temperatures around freezing to single-digit sub-zero conditions and fits into any backpack. Snow, rain and icy wind are no problem for the RAIVO coat, while still delivering an outstanding wearing climate. Exactly the right choice for Central European winters or autumn/spring in Lapland.
What exactly makes the RAIVO coat special?
TACDown
Thin and mid-weight "classic" chamber-filled down coats often have "cold bridges" at the seams of the chambers where heat escapes. Since TACDown is a patented roll material made from real down, we eliminate these cold bridges. Simply put, this means more warmth with less weight. In addition, TACDown offers better moisture management and a much faster drying time than classic down.
Actibreath 37.5® membrane
With a water column of 20,000 mm and a breathability beyond >20,000 g/m²/24h, we ensure perfect moisture management even during sweat-inducing activities. The membrane is also equipped with 37.5® technology with activated carbon, resulting in a "heavenly" wearing climate.
EMPEL – permanent DWR
For a waterproof membrane to function optimally, the outer fabric must not become saturated with water, which is why it normally has to be reproofed regularly (DWR). With EMPEL, this becomes unnecessary in practice, as it is a patented technology that ensures "permanent" DWR functionality.
ROBUST AND LIGHTWEIGHT
The micro-ripstop polyamide outer layer is extremely abrasion-resistant, ideal when coming into contact with rocks, branches or equipment. The AMS airflow ventilation system allows you to release excess heat in a controlled manner, which is worth its weight in gold, especially in changing weather conditions.
WHO IS THIS PRODUCT FOR?
The RAIVO coat is a true universal companion from autumn through spring thanks to its temperature range and material combination. The RAIVO coat is made for "active" people who want to be prepared for almost any weather situation – or have to be. After all, why else would we have created this perfect wearing climate with enhanced breathability?
In addition to professional users from the tactical and military sector, we expressly recommend the coat for bushcraft, wilderness trekking, dog sports and mountaineering, especially if you do not want to look as colorful as a hummingbird.
For the noise fetishists among hunters, we would like to point out that the coat does not have a brushed outer fabric for "practical" reasons. In our opinion, however, the sound profile of the coat is absolutely suitable for hunting.

Washing and Care Instructions
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Wild products use high-quality YKK zippers. The most common cause of zipper damage is a failure to follow the washing instructions, or the zipper being caught in something that causes a high strain on the slider. The strain stretches the slider's jaws wider and the zipper will no longer interlock when closed.
Washing in too hot water exposes the zipper to temperatures that weaken the zipper material, making it prone to breaking. The worst thing for the zipper is a machine spin cycle which twists and beats the zipper and can break it.
Overalls and jackets must be washed with the zippers open.
