Insulation · Down
The down jacket for people who'd rather wear their gear to death than baby it – waterproof, brutally breathable, and nearly indestructible.
The gear, explained
Waterproof down for still, deep cold. A softshell for the moving days. An insulated coat with a wide cut to go over your other layers. Camo when you need to disappear into the treeline. The Wild jacket range is built around what you're doing — so pick by use, and layer a fleece underneath when the temperature drops. Not sure? Tell us the day you're dressing for.
Down gives the most warmth for its weight and shines in still, hard cold, with a waterproof membrane so the down stays dry. Softshell blocks wind and moves with you. The insulated coat carries a 200 g Karila Maximus® fill, windproof and water-repellent, cut wide so it goes over your other winter layers, with long side zips for the snowmobile. Each product page lists the fabric and fill.
Yes — the jackets are cut for it. If you plan to run a heavy mid-layer in deep cold and you're between sizes, take the larger. The size guide has the measurements.
Care depends on the material — down, softshell and an insulated coat each want different handling. Follow the label and our Product Care page. Wash less than you think, and dry down fully so it lofts back up.
