Gear for the long, still sit in the cold
Sitting still in the cold is the hardest test of gear. Our 3-layer hardshell has a removable Karila Maximus® insulation liner and a wind- and waterproof membrane — insulation Wild tested in Antarctic conditions. Under it, a highloft fleece is the warm, soft layer that traps your heat. More wilderness pieces join this edit as the season runs — tell us what you're out for and where, and we'll flag the right fit.

How warm and weatherproof is this gear?
Our 3-layer hardshell carries a 200 g Karila Maximus® insulation liner and a wind- and waterproof membrane rated to a 20,000 mm water column; the insulation was tested in Antarctic conditions. A fleece adds a warm, soft layer underneath. Product pages list the full spec.
Warm enough for a long, still sit?
That's what it's built for — the hardshell's insulation plus a fleece for hours of not moving in the cold. Add extreme mittens and a beanie for deep winter.
